The Kokke armchair was designed by Ruud-Jan Kokke in 1987. In his design Kokke plays with the boundaries of craftsmanship, technique and material. The manually composed oak frame of the armchair has sprung ash wood slats in the seat and backrest. The light construction is strong and also provides surprisingly high comfort. The model is included in various museum collections, including those of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Cologne and the Design Museum in Copenhagen.
The chair is available in natural wood, or stained in whitewash, clay or black.
